TA Associates and Updata Partners, two private equity firms, said Wednesday that they plan to “make a significant investment” in the Nintex Group, an Australian company specializing in workflow software.
Financial details of that significant investment were not included in a press release the companies issued. TA, which has offices in Boston, said that three of its executives will join Nintex’s board of directors.
With more than 4,000 customers in 90 countries, Nintex provides software that allows organizations to automate business processes by using drag-and-drop tools. Through its Nintex Live offerings, Nintex enables organizations to utilize cloud services to extend workflow functionality outside of a company’s firewall to remote users, customers, and suppliers.
“Nintex is an attractive investment for a number of reasons, including strong organic growth and momentum, a successful global partner distribution network, exceptional customer satisfaction, and a deep management team,” Harry D. Taylor, a director at TA Associates, said in a statement.
Taylor will join Nintex’s board of directors along with Edward F. Sippel, a managing principal at TA Associates Asia Pacific Ltd., and Kurt R. Jaggers, a managing director at TA Associates.
Besides Boston, TA has offices in Menlo Park, Calif.; London; Mumbai; and Hong Kong. Since its founding in 1968, TA Associates has invested in more than 425 companies and has raised $18 billion in capital.
