The Stata Center
Windows are featured heavily in Gehry’s design in an effort to keep the interior light and airy. He uses bay windows that are reminiscent of Boston townhouses. Gehry says, “it’s a window, but it’s also the décor. It gives the building texture.” Also, Gehry says he included brickwork because “brick makes people comfortable in Boston. It is a handrail, a baseline.”
