Anna Mracek Dietrich
Chief operating officer, Terrafugia, Woburn
Two words: flying car. Terrafugia has attracted media attention for its effort to build a vehicle that the FAA will certify, highway authorities will allow on the road, and enough people will want to buy for between $200,000 and $250,000. Dietrich co-founded the company with her husband Carl. They were both educated at MIT's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. "I usually joke that in a start-up, the COO title is just given to whoever does all the little necessary things that no one else wants to do," Dietrich says.
