Cuddly Woogie is a stout defender of expensive gadgets
My kids have a knack for wrecking toys - theirs and mine. When it comes to our iPod, for example, they insist on removing the utilitarian protective cover before dropping the darned thing to the floor.
Perhaps the problem is that we are not dressing the iPod cutely enough to make anyone want to care for it. A black rubberized case just doesn’t say “Love me’’ the way a plush toy might.
Enter the downright huggable Woogie 2, from Griffin Technology Inc., an updated version of the toy with a pocket to hold your iPod or iPhone firmly in place.
The Woogie 2 not only has soft parts to soften any blow - including five chubby legs - it has a touch-through screen protector to keep kids’ greasy mitts from smearing your device.
With the iPod serving as its face, the Woogie 2 looks like it could have starred in “Futurama.’’
Available in blue or pink, it costs about $20.
