Should you get it? Yes, if you like giving animals weird hair cuts.

Do you know those crazy animals that have human-like figures and weird hair?

Well, if you don't, then you should download and play Toca Boca Hair Salon. When you get on the app, you press play and then choose a character. Then you do their hair any way you want. My sister and brother both love this app. So do I.

I found out about this app from my friend Sophia. I was at her house for a birthday party sleepover and she was playing it. Then I went home and downloaded the app. I told my friend Tiernan about it and now every time she uses my iPod she plays it. We love making the hair bright and crazy with the colors, scissors, blow dryer, razors, comb, and hair-grow feature.

Here's how it works:

When you first get on the app, you hit play and then choose a character. Then a new screen comes up with that character for three quarters of the screen and the bottom quarter is the tools. Since there are so many tools, only three fit on the screen at a time, so they make it so you can slide it with your finger to get to the other tools. There are five swipes on the iPad and six swipes on the iPod Touch and iPhone.

For the iPad, the first swipe has three tools and they are the comb, scissors, and hair grow. The second swipe has three tools, too, and they are the blow dryer, camera, and razor. The third swipe has all the colors. The fourth swipe has a shower over the character and two tools which are the shampoo and towel. The last and final swipe on the iPad is the accessories.

On the iPod Touch and iPhone there are six swipes. They could not fit all the colors on one swipe because the iPod Touch and iPhone are smaller then the iPad.

You use the tools by pressing on them and then pressing or sliding your finger to put or use the tools on the character. Once you have done something to the character with the tools you can't change it except for two things: If you do not like a color dye on the animal's hair, then you can put another color over it, or if you cut the hair too short, you can use the hair grow to make it longer.

After you finish doing your crazy animal's hair, you can tap on the camera to take a picture of it. It will automatically be saved to your photos on your iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone.

Toca Boca Hair Salon really is an awesome app!
