Apple’s new iPad Mini went on sale on Nov. 12. The new line of the device was introduced alongside the new iPad Air and a slew of Macs. This iPad Mini comes with Retina Display, which is Apple’s brand name for liquid crystal display. It was also designed to work with Apple’s new mobile operating system, iOS 7. Take a look at the features the new iPad Mini offers.
The Retina Display has more than 3.1 million pixels, according to Apple. That gives the tablet four times the resolution of the previous generation of the iPad Mini and a million more pixels than a HDTV, Apple said. The display also has a 2048-by-1536 resolution. Next
The display on the iPad Mini is 7.9 inches. It measures 0.29 inches thick, 5.3 inches wide, 7.87 inches tall, and weighs less than three-quarters of a pound.

The iPad Mini has two antennas and MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) technology that provides twice the WiFi performance, Apple said. Download speeds can reach up to 300 Mbps, which is double the rate of the previous line of iPad Minis, the company said.
The device also supports more LTE bands to connect to more cellular data networks. Next
The iPad Mini comes with the Apple-designed A7 chip, which is also included in the iPhone 5S. It gives the tablet the ability to perform on par with a 64-bit processor. It also has a M7 motion coprocessor , which measures motion and works effectively with fitness tracking apps.
The tablet’s battery lasts up to 10 hours, Apple said. Next
Like the iPad Air, the iPad Mini will come in black with space gray or white with silver. Next
The apps iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are free with the iPad Mini.
GarageBand is also free on the App Store for all iOS 7 devices. Consumers can get iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote free of charge on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices that were activated after Sept. 1, 2013.
The iPad Mini comes with slight camera upgrades. The resolution of the cameras stays the same at 5 megapixels for the rear camera and 1.2 megapixels for the front FaceTime HD camera.
Apple said the new tablet has larger pixels and improved backside illumination sensors that take better low-light photos.
The improved image-signal processing that comes with the A7 chip is also expected to delivery a better camera performance overall. Back to the beginning
