Office workers are seldom short on reasons not to clean the break room: They're too busy working, did not make the mess, are above washing dishes, or are simply ignorant of kitchen etiquette. But problems in office kitchens can make for an unpleasant work environment.
"It shows some pride in office to keep the common area clean for everybody," said Sean Dowling, the Boston branch manager of OfficeTeam, a temp staffing agency.
OfficeTeam hired a research firm to ask 432 office workers what gets their blood boiling in the workplace kitchen. Here's what they said.
