Starting in February, the company will transition such functions as US operations, analytics, training, and polling to office space at Presidents Place, an office building at 1250 Hancock St. in Quincy.

For-profit Best Doctors makes money by helping corporate clients to keep their health care costs down and improve productivity. Best Doctors, founded in 1989 by doctors from Harvard Medical School, has assembled a peer-reviewed data base of 53,000 doctors in 450 specialty areas who can offer second opinions to the employees of a corporate client.

With the employee’s permission, the Best Doctors network can gain access to an employee’s medical history and conduct a complete review of that employee’s scans and health records virtually to work together with the member and the treating physician.

In 2012, Best Doctors recommended a change or a refinement of diagnosis in about a third of the cases it reviewed, with 68 percent of cases receiving a corrected treatment plan, a company spokesman said.

Currently, 30 million employees worldwide have access to the Best Doctors’ data base, the company said.

“Best Doctors has seen tremendous growth, while being recognized internationally for its groundbreaking approach that helps members get the right diagnosis and treatment,” Best Doctors chairman and chief executive David Seligman said in a statement. “This growth has created the need for a customized operational space that will allow Best Doctors to continue growing with the needs of our clients, while providing a great place to work for our dedicated team. Presidents Place in Quincy provides just that.”

The landlord of Presidents Place is Related Beal and Boston Andes Capital LLC.

Jones Lang LaSalle executive vice president Tom Kent, vice president Sean Lynch, and associate Mark McLean served as brokers representing the landlord. Boston Realty Advisors’ Adam Schneier and Transwestern’s Tony Karmin represented Best Doctors, Jones Lang LaSalle said in a press release.
