Wegmans will officially open its highly anticipated Chestnut Hill supermarket on Sunday, April 27, the grocer announced.
The 80,000 square-foot store on Route 9 will be the second Wegmans in Massachusetts. Already open within the Chestnut Hill market is a 10,500 square-foot wine, beer and spirits shop, which made its debut last month.
Though there are some concerns about traffic.

The store will employ about 350 part-time workers, officials have said.
The supermarket chain opened its first store in the state in Northborough in 2011.
Another Wegmans is planned to open in an expansion of the Landmark Center in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston.
The company founded 98 years ago operates 81 other stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.
