Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp. of Bangor, Maine, said it has acquired Troy, Pires & Allen Insurance, an East Providence-based agency, as Cross looks to expand its presence in Rhode Island.
Family owned Cross Insurance, which employs more than 600 people in 30 offices throughout the region, is not disclosing the financial details of the transaction.
Troy, Pires & Allen Insurance will now operate under the Cross Insurance name, the company said.
This is Cross Insurance’s fourth acquisition of the year. Other acquisitions include the Driscoll Agency of Norwell as well as acquisitions of firms based in Maine and Connecticut.
