Great Wolf Lodge New England, a resort that promises to deliver a cruise ship-on-dry-land vacation experience for the whole family, said it is starting the process of hiring nearly 500 employees as it prepares for the scheduled June opening of its new Fitchburg location.
The new resort will feature 406 rooms and an indoor water park that includes a six-story funnel slide called the Howlin’ Tornado, the company said. There is also a Slap Tail Pond wave pool and Fort Mackenzie, a multilevel interactive tree house.
Wisconsin-based Great Wolf said the New England lodge will be its 12th resort. The site was previously a CoCo Key Water Park, Great Wolf said. The company said it is in the process of greatly expanding and upgrading the previous facility.
Candidates interested in working at Great Wolf Lodge New England can begin the application process now at greatwolf.com/careers, the company said.
All candidates must be at least 16 years of age and be able to work nights and weekends. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Interested candidates may also attend an information session at 6 p.m. on April 1 and 2 in the Performing Arts Theatre at Mount Wachusett Community College, the company said.
