PROVIDENCE — The affiliation between Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket and the Care New England hospital group is complete.
Care New England president and chief executive Dennis Keefe and Memorial Hospital interim president and chief executive Arthur DeBlois III signed the paperwork needed to close the deal on Tuesday.
Keefe called Memorial an ideal addition to the Care New England system. DeBlois said the hospital will now be able to provide expanded specialty services to its patients.
Memorial is a 294-bed community hospital that is a teaching affiliate of Brown University’s medical school. It joins Butler, Kent, and Women & Infants hospitals in the Care New England group.
State health regulators approved the deal in July.
