Kayak founder Paul English is the latest high-profile addition to CoachUp’s board of advisors, giving the athletic advisor match-making service some high-profile help on the high-tech side of things.
English joins other high profile advisors like former senator Scott Brown and director Scott Griffith, former chief executive of Zipcar.
English has been helpful as CoachUp works to build out its development team.
“You’d be hard pressed to find someone with a better claim to being an outstanding CTO than him,” said Jordan Fliegel, CoachUp’s founder and chief executive. “We’re putting together a product for independent studios and facilities, and he’s been helping us think through that. He’s really helping us with team building.”
CoachUp’s been busy: A native Android app for personal coaches to manage their clients will join the start-ups current iPhone app, and Fliegel said the company is hiring.
English has been busy himself, reducing his time at Kayak to put attention to a newly announced incubator downtown, which will double as a club after hours.
The Hive profiled CoachUp earlier this year.
