How else would a car-rental service celebrate its move to a new headquarters? With a parade of cars, of course.
After a decade in Cambridge Zipcar, the rental service popular with the younger set, moved to its new offices in Boston’s Innovation District Monday with a 10-car parade through the city, with employees handing out pens and other swag to gawkers.
“This is a exciting time in Zipcar’s history,” said Mark Norman, president of Zipcar. “We spent over 10 years in Cambridge, the cradle of car sharing, but moving to the seaport, Innovation District is consistent with our mission to enable simple and responsible urban living. But it’s also a new central home as we think about the next phase of growth for Zipcar.”
