Burger King Meatloaf Sandwich
Burger King floated the meatloaf sandwich in early 1993, as part of the chain's foray into limited table service. At the time, Advertising Age reported that the chain hoped "consumer familiarity with the meat loaf sandwich from childhood" would draw consumers in.
Neither the table service experiment nor the meatloaf sandwich were considered big hits. Later that year, Advertising Age called the offering "puzzling."
