Rechargeable spotlights recalled due to leaking batteries
Recalled: Sept. 8, 2010
Innovage LLC. is recalling about 1.4 million FIXIT rechargeable halogen spotlights because the charging adapter can overcharge the battery, leading to a rupture and leaking battery acid, which can cause chemical burns.
The spotlights were sold at Walgreens, Rite Aid, Ace Hardware, and other stores in the US from October 2003 through October 2009 for about $10.
Consumers are urged to stop using the lights and contact Innovage for a refund.
