The Windy City's most congested route is the nearly 16-mile stretch on the Dan Ryan Expressway between I-294 and Exit 52B. The route, which usually takes 17 minutes with no traffic, can take on average 49 minutes during rush hour and up to 72 minutes Friday evenings.
