John Harvard's Brew House
Locations: Cambridge, Framingham, and Hancock
Top beer: John Harvard's Pale Ale
Named after its Ivy League neighbor, John Harvard's Brew House was founded in Cambridge in 1993 and serves its beers in in 10-ounce, 12-ounce, and pitcher sizes. The top brew is the John Harvard's Pale Ale. "Its an American style pale ale with a nice hop characteristic," said manager Riley Markey. "Its got nice fruity notes to it, but it certainly tastes like beer also." Outside of it's brewpub locations, which also include spots in New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, John Harvard's beers are available on ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
