11 big business fails of 2011
A May 21 doomsday message had been publicized through broadcasts, websites, and billboards by Harold Camping.
Camping, a radio host and head of the Family Radio network, concluded that the day was exactly 7,000 years after Noah's flood. On it, he said, believers would be transported up to heaven. Nonbelievers would live in torment until the world was destroyed in October. When that didn't happen, Camping predicted it would come in October. Same result that time, too.
