Making Boston 'awesome' for entrepreneurs

Boston is known for its academic opportunities. There are numerous institutions of higher learning in and around the city, offering many fields of study. The city has also become a hub for both the science and the technology industries. Why is it then that young graduates in search of starting their own business leave for more luxurious places like Silicon Valley or New York City? Boston needs to increase and spread the awareness of its 'awesomeness,' but how? Creating a celebrity culture around successful entrepreneurs or encouraging the proliferation of high-energy hangouts might do the trick but these young entrepreneurs have other ideas.
