Taste test - 90+Cellars vs. name brand wines
When vintners of vintage wines can't sell their bottles – some going for over $20 per bottle – they turn to négociants like Kevin Mehra of Boston-based 90+Cellars, who buy the expensive wines and sell them under their labels for less. Without paying for the brand name, these wines are sold in a cheaper market.
"You're paying for the wine. You're not paying for the label," said Mehra. "We are making unapproachable and unaffordable wines more accessible."
