NEW YORK—General Dynamics, an aviation and military equipment company, said Tuesday its U.K. division acquired Kylmar Ltd., which makes sensor and optical surveillances systems.
General Dynamics said it paid cash but did not say how much.
Kylmar, which is privately held, has made electro-optic equipment and systems for the U.K. military intelligence and Special Forces for almost 20 years.
Based in Andover, Hampshire, England, Kylmar has about 50 employees.
General Dynamics said the acquisition will benefit its earnings beginning in 2011.
