Classical music, green-and-white striped awnings, handwritten chalk-on-blackboard signs, and heavenly rotisserie aromas create the feeling of a European market. But what the folks at the Fresh Market, which opened its newest outpost in Hingham last month, want you to come back for is the service. “We want our customers to know the food. We want our employees to talk about our food,’’ says Jason Timmons, new store project manager. This cozy mom-and-pop feel is actually studied: The Fresh Market is part of a 90-plus strong chain. There are many tasting opportunities, from fresh orange juice and coffee to artichoke-olive canapes, rosemary lamb, and fudgy brownies. The produce is impressive, as is the selection of meats, seafood, nuts, grains and seeds, fresh herbs, and candy. Prepared foods such as escargots, beef Wellington, and chicken Kiev cater to a sophisticated clientele. Those dishes and the selection of wines and spirits make it easy to leave with a complete dinner. All you need to do is call the guests. The Fresh Market, 11 Essington Drive, Hingham. 781-740-2066,
