It’s official: New Hampshire is the “The Clunker State.’’ More commonly called the Granite State, with the motto “Live Free or Die’’, New Hampshire had the highest number of rebate dollars per capita in the Cash for Clunkers program, which gave drivers a $3,500 to $4,500 discount on a new car in exchange for an older, less fuel-efficient vehicle.
