
Times Co. to cut 190 jobs amid sluggish sales of ads
Journalists at Times, Massachusetts papers will be mostly spared
Citing an uncertain economic climate and sluggish advertising revenue, The New York Times Co. said yesterday that it will eliminate about 190 positions at its flagship New York Times newspaper and at its New England Media Group, which includes The Boston Globe and the Telegram & Gazette in Worcester.
