Six tips to get out of the unemployment rut
4. Narrow your thinking
Some job seekers have trouble focusing their search and they try to be all things to all people, but no one is going to be good at everything. Take the time to figure out what you want to do and where you want to do it and narrow your search to opportunities that fit into your realm.
Don't waste time during interviews or networking meetings to ask others to help you figure out what you want to do. The responsibility is yours; be targeted and specific about the jobs you want, skills you have and the companies you want to work for.
