In Natick, an operational override question on the spring ballot is looking ever more likely as department heads in Natick ponder how to meet a projected $6.5 million budget shortfall. As it stands, the school system could face some of the most significant cuts, possibly up to $3 million worth.

In Newton, mayor David Cohen is sticking to his plan to call for an override, insisting that it has nothing to do with his Newton North High School project. Read more here.
