The Franklin High boys' basketball team can exact a bit of revenge -- and stay on course to capture back-to-back Hockomock League crowns -- when rival Oliver Ames invades the Franklin field house tonight at 7.
Oliver Ames(13-1, 11-1 Hockomock) prevailed in the first matchup, handing Franklin (13-3, 11-2 Hockomock) a 66-60 setback on Jan. 5. OA's Matt Lindberg leads the Hock in scoring (19.7 ppg.).
Seniors Darren Drew, Andrew Gilberti and Will Valdez pace the Franklin attack. The Panthers can earn at least a share of the league crown with wins tonight, along with victories against Sharon (Feb. 13) and King Philip (Feb. 16).
Bentley (21-0), ranked third nationally in Division 2, journeys to Colchester, Vermont to face host St. Michael's (13-9). The Falcons can clinch the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Tournament with a victory. Bentley won the first meet in Waltham, 78-74.
Milford (15-0), which clinched the Mid-Wach A title Friday night against Wachusett, hosts 2-13 Algonquin.
