Game of the night

The Marlborough boys' basketball team (12-1 overall; 8-1 league) owns a half-game lead over Westborough (11-4, 7-1) in the Mid-Wach B league race. Tonight at 7, the Panthers travel to Westborough for the teams' second meeting of the season.

Marlborough prevailed on its home court in the first meeting, 67-57, on Jan. 16. But the Panthers will be without senior guard Chris Pinsonault, the leading scorer in the Mid-Wach B who has been out of the lineup since he was charged with marijuana possession on Jan. 19. He has not played the last three games against Nashoba, Quabbin and Gardner of what is likely to be a five-game suspension.

Marlborough forwards George Jordan (17 ppg.) and Ryan Joyal (14 ppg.) and Westborough Ben Araya (13.0 ppg.) are three of the top 10 scorers in the league.
