20-0: Beat goes on for Bentley men

Why is the Bentley men's basketball team unbeaten through 20 games? The Falcons take care of the little things.

On Wednesday night, the Falcons were a perfect 17-for-17 at the free-throw line in their 88-71 Northeast-10 Conference romp over visiting Merrimack College at the Dana Center in Waltham.

The Falcons (20-0), ranked third nationally in Division 2, shot a sizzling 69-percent from the floor in the first half in building a commanding 55-31 cushion. Sophomore guard Lew Finnegan of Lexington paced Bentley with 22 points and a career-high five steals.

Freshman guard Jason Westrol added 15 points and five rebounds, senior post Jeff Holmes had 12 points and junior point guard Yusuf Abdul-Ali added 10 points.

Bentley hits the road for Bryant on Saturday afternoon (3:30 p.m.).
