Game of the night

The Franklin and King Philip boys' hockey teams share the Veterans Skating Arena in Franklin.

Tonight at 6, the longtime rivals will square off in a battle for first place in the Hockomock League.

King Philip (9-0-1 overall, 4-0 Hockomock League) holds a half-game lead over Franklin (6-1-1, 3-0 Hockomock) in the league race, but Franklin is coming off an impressive 2-0 win over Canton on Saturday night.

Sophomore defenseman Mark Higgins leads a young KP squad in scoring while senior center Tim Alberts paces the Panthers. Goaltending has been a strength for both teams thus far.

Expect a full house -- and a loud house -- at the rink.
