Raining on their run

Nothing like high school football on a Friday night in October. Cool, crisp ... No, wait, heavy rain, high winds, soggy uniforms. A wonderful scene for all.

Framingham, Natick, Franklin, Marlborough and Hudson, have postponed tonight's games, to name a few. They'll play tomorrow.

But Tri-Valley leader co-leader Holliston (5-1 overall, 5-0 TVL) will brave the elements for its tussle against once-beaten Norton (5-1, 5-1) tonight. Let's see if Matt Bellomo can top last week's stellar 30-carry, 274-yard effort against Ashland.

Here's four other matchups to catch this weekend:

Acton-Boxboro at Lincoln-Sudbury (Friday at 7): Lincoln-Sudbury is in a must-win situation to keep its hopes alive in the Dual County League race.

Wayland at Westford (Friday at 7): Ben Sherry and the Dual County League-leading Warriors go for sixth straight win, trying to avenge last year's 21-14 loss.

Hudson at Oakmont (Saturday at 7): Riding a five-game winning streak, the Hawks (5-1, 5-0) head to Ashburnham for a CMass Division 3 showdown against fellow unbeaten Oakmont (6-0, 5-0).

Dedham at Natick (Saturday at 7): A one-day delay won't be much help to Dedham as the Redmen gun for their 22nd straight victory.
