Clockers court Renaud

Ashland High athletic director Phil Moresi was hoping to have Karen Renaud be a part of his girls' basketball staff when she first arrived in the school system six years ago.

But Renaud, 35, was working on her master's degree and couldn't make the time commitment.

Now, the time is right.

Renaud, a former assistant at Billerica and North Smithfield (R.I.) high schools, was named girls' varsity basketball coach at Ashland yesterday.

The Woonsocket, R.I. native replaces Kevin White, who stepped down after three seasons in April when his family moved to Connecticut.
