Impressive plates

Ever wonder how people get those cool low-number license plates?

Several dozen Globe West residents were among the winners in the Registry of Motor Vehicles low-number license plate lottery. There were 238 winners statewide, the Registry announced today.

The Registry also picked 25 alternates in the event that the winners do not pick up their plates.

The Registry by law must hold an annual drawing for any returned or unwanted low number plates. Winners have until the end of the year to pick up their plates.
