Bats in their belfries

A South Natick homeowner and a Holliston homeowner have stepped forward to offer their resident bats for research.

They were responding to Sunday's Globe West story about bat researcher Chris Richardson's midnight forays into the barns of Sherborn.

The Natick homeowner contacted correspondent Alison O'Leary Murray, saying, "I have quite a collection near my house." The Holliston homeowner had some, too, and wondered if Richardson had any advice on what to do.
