Never seen anything like it, ma'am

A Newton resident got her hand stuck in the garbage disposal and nothing worked to get it out. Rescue personnel were called and eventually 13 of the city's finest were standing there in the kitchen. With a power saw buzzing and everything.

``I've been known to do stupid things," Margalit wrote later. ``Really stupid things. But tonight I believe I topped even myself."

Read about Margalit's problem in today's Cybsercenes column in Globe West.

The column picks the cream of the crop of local blogs. There's also an item about a lifeguard at a Framingham pond who got yelled at for yelling at the kids in the water. Other items take readers to the Shaw's on River Street in Waltham and O'Connell Field in Watertown.
