Add Rich Gotham to the list of folks who grew up in Boston's western suburbs and are now at working at an executive level in the sports field.
Gotham, a Milford native who now resides in Medfield, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the Boston Celtics on June 28.
He'll be responsible for several aspects of the Celtics' business operations, including marketing, ticket sales and service, corporate partnerships, community and public relations, game entertainment, broadcast partnerships and arena relations.
Boston Celtics Managing Partner and Governor Wyc Grousbeck said in a statement that Gotham "is a leader by example, with the highest possible work ethic, business standards and commitment to the Celtics and our community."
