In case of emergency...

The town’s Board of Health is holding an informational meeting for anyone interested in joining the local Medical Reserve Corps. Such groups are being formed locally as part of a nationwide effort to help communities cope in case of a natural or manmade disaster.

Like all participating towns, Ashland is seeking medical and non-medical volunteers including health care professionals, certified first responders, and people with expertise in logistics, communications, hazardous material handling, or accounting.

The meeting is Tuesday, July 18, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 101 Main Street.
