A Boston developer is paying $3.6 million for a 25,000-square-foot building in Franklin that currently houses a Boston Sports Club.

The Davis Marcus Partners bought the building at 750 Union Street in a deal that was brokered by NAI Hunneman Commercial Brokers, a Boston real estate firm.

The Globe's business news blog reports on the deal and also includes items on hotel real estate investment trust Hospitality Properties Trust of Newton and drug-maker Sepracor Inc. of Marlborough.
