A puzzling change on the train


The MBTA is standing by its assertion that there have been no recent changes in commuter rail policy, despite the observations of several riders who say conductors are keeping more doors on the trains closed. The change has led to delays in service, riders say, because they now have to line up to enter or exit the train.
