Artist, angler, and classical pianist Henry McDaniel capped a lifetime of fishing in 1999 with one last trip to the salmon-rich Miramichi River in New Brunswick, Canada, with his son Joseph. In 2006, he stopped painting his much sought-after watercolors of favorite fishing grounds that graced the covers of countless sporting magazines and lined the walls of private collectors.
