Monday question: Coffee sssshhhh!op
Today's question is a story from a reader, and a question from me. This anecdote came in from one of Miss Conduct's Facebook followers (you should be one too! I'm fun!):
I met a friend for coffee last week and we left the cafe because of all the dirty stares we were getting from people working on lap tops. Um, go to the library, people! This is not the quiet car!
My question: Dang.
Whoops, "dang" isn't a question. Here are some questions: Has this ever happened to you? Do you think the laptoppers had a right to be annoyed? Do you frequent extremely quiet coffee shops? I'm on the side of my Facebook friend: coffee shops are for kaffeeklatsches. Boston isn't exactly hurting for libraries and other public spaces for those who prefer to work in public.
