UPDATE: And here's Sunday's column, with entertaining letters about job interviews and a car-bogarting mom. What a whirlwind weekend this was, folks. Three parties in two days, and I visited the assisted-living facility that my mother will be moving into next week. I'm feeling a bit wiped out, as you can imagine.
I don't imagine that the eager-beaver job candidate in Letter #1 has ever felt "wiped out." His original letter was much longer and more detailed. I found him really charming, perhaps because I kept picturing him as one of my favorite television characters, Chris Traeger from "Parks & Recreation":
