Ms. Julia Stiles, who is in town making a movie for "Lifetime," came to Sunday's performance of "Blood Rose Rising." She is an actress whom I have always admired both for her work and for the dignity with which she carries herself. Ms. Stiles graciously let herself be photographed with the humble Housekeper of the Blackwood Mansion:
Ms. Stiles arrived at the theater alone. When she took her seat, the woman next to her glanced up briefly, then did a classic double-take of such perfect intensity and timing that not even an actress of Ms. Stiles's own caliber could have replicated it.
