And they are having a gala opening tonight, in the basement of the Davis Square Theater (one of my favorite places in Boston), at 7 p.m. In true MOBA spirit, Kool-Aid and Cheetos will be served, but if you really can't enjoy a gallery opening without wine, the theater sells it in their lobby.
MOBA doesn't accept just any bad art--the works have to be really pretty remarkable to make the cut. This is one of my favorite MOBA pieces, a pointillist portrait entitled (by the MOBA curators), "Sunday on the Pot with George." Does the gentleman portrayed not bear a striking resemblance to former Attorney General John Ashcroft?
