Katie: My first impression was that Jordan was good-looking. He had a surfer look, with shaggy blond hair, and seemed calm and laid-back.

Jordan: She hugged me -- the big hug was appreciated. Katie: He is in good shape.

Jordan: Her first question to me was one I am new to being asked:

Katie: Jordan told me about how he recently moved, is working as a cook, and also balances two other part-time jobs. I told him about my job in social work.

Jordan: I was slightly concerned that the conversation would be about work the rest of the evening.

Katie: I ordered steak tips; he ordered salmon with rice. Jordan is really into yoga and biking, I enjoy running and hiking, and we both ski. Also, we both enjoy bragging about our nieces and nephews.

Jordan: I liked what she had to say when she spoke and felt it was easy to be myself when speaking to her.

Katie: I enjoyed our conversation the whole evening.

Jordan: She detailed some specific responsibilities of a social worker in the pediatrics department of a hospital. It gave me a lot of respect for her. There was a slight hiccup when she mentioned liking the music of U2.
