Sally Sampson is the author of 18 cookbooks, including four in her new Recipe of the Week series. After this months burgers book, Recipe of the Week: Ice Cream is set to come out in June. She likes the idea, she says, of getting really good at cooking one thing. "You do it once a week," she says, "and in a year you have mastered it." Sampson lives in Watertown with her two teenage children. "When I was working on the burgers book, I was the most popular mother in my son's class," she says. "When I was working on ice cream, I was popular with everybody."
