Higher education could learn a lot from ... McDonald's, argues the director of the Center
for College Affordability and Productivity, at Ohio University.
It's hardly ridiculous--or original, for that matter--to suggest that non-profit higher education could learn something from business. But a commenter aptly summarizes this piece as falling within the genre of "Wow I just had an idea and let me write it down before I think about it too hard."
Bonus points for the sure-to-infuriate-underpaid-adjuncts-without-benefits opening line: "I am writing this on a boat on the Rhone River in France (the life of a college professor is tough), just having [had] lunch with a retired McDonald's franchise holder."
