RE “ON the Vineyard, Obama fever no longer raging’’ (Page A1, Aug. 25): It’s amazing how the public is urged to place the blame directly upon our president for the lack of good jobs. Anyone in his right mind knows that the outsourcing of American jobs takes a great part of the blame.
There are other areas where blame can be placed: mismanagement on Wall Street and the subprime mortgage debacle, for example.
One man cannot provide or sustain a healthy economy.
What of the special interests and lobbies that get their way with dollars that, in the short and long run, sway our politicians, thus hurting middle- and lower-class Americans?
Leave Obama alone. Look for valid reasons that our economy is failing.
