DR. JEROME Kassirer's Feb. 8 op-ed "Stemming the craze on CT scans" seemed to conclude: Be wary. Too many tests mean more expense, he argued, and who knows whether the sponsors of favorable studies are only urging the use of scans to make money on their patents, not to help patients.
